Office of Public Safety Report - 2012-12-05 to 2012-12-07
On Dec. 3 at 2:50 p.m. a female student reported to OPS that on Oct. 13 or Oct. 14, approximately 1 or 2 a.m., that while walking near a local business on the south side of University Drive she was grabbed by an unidentified male and was sexually assaulted. The subject was described as a black male, with short black hair and earrings in his left ear. He was wearing a short sleeve gray shirt, dark jeans and dark gloves. A preliminary investigation was completed Dec. 6.
On Dec. 5 at 2:55 p.m. Chase Wilcoxen, 24, of Fiatt, was arrested at Mowbray Hall for driving while suspended. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:07 p.m. where he lodged pending bond.
On Dec. 5 at 4:59 p.m. two students in Olson Hall were judicially referred for theft of University property (carpet runner and a sign).
On Dec. 5 at 8:02 p.m. one student in Corbin Hall was judicially referred for behavior.
On Dec. 6 at 11:37 a.m. a contractor reported the theft of welding equipment (welding lead), valued at $2,235, from a construction truck in Q-Lot. The incident is under investigation.
On Dec. 6 at 1:02 p.m. Christin Willis, 19, of 910 N. Charles St., Apt. 66, was arrested at her residence on a McDonough County warrant for larceny (theft by deception in excess of $500). She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:14 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
On Dec. 6 at 6:11 p.m. one student in Henninger Hall was judicially referred for theft of university property.
On Dec. 6 at 7:28 p.m. David Mason, 21, of 1218 Bayliss Hall, was arrested on a Bureau County warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 7:56 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On Dec. 6 at 8:22 p.m. a student reported her vehicle was scratched while parked on campus. Damages were estimated at $2,000.
On Dec. 6 at 11:32 p.m. three students near Orchard and Charles streets were issued judicial referrals for suspicion of cannabis.
On Dec. 7 at 1:56 a.m. Matthew Blaszczyk, 25, of 1116 Washington Hall, and James Ward, 21, of 717 Olson hall, were each issued a notice to appear Jan. 15 on a Macomb city ordinance violation for for fighting in Olson.
