On Jan. 18 at 9:44 a.m. OPS officers responded to a fire alarm in a Simpkins Hall elevator. The fire alarm was determined to have been set off by workers. There was no fire and no injuries reported.
On Jan. 18 at 10:49 a.m. OPS officers responded to a fire alarm on the first floor of Grote Hall. The fire alarm was determined to have been set off by workers. There was no fire and no injuries reported.
On Jan. 18 at 1:38 p.m. non-student Ronald Papanek, 22, of Hickory Hills, was arrested on a Cook County warrant and transported to the McDonough County Jail at 1:40 pending bond.
On Jan. 18 at 1:52 p.m. a student reported her cell phone, valued at $100, was stolen. The incident is under investigation.
On Jan. 18 at 6:22 p.m. a student reported his vehicle was damaged while parked in Q-Lot. The damage was estimated at $300.
On Jan. 19 at 10:36 p.m. three students in Tanner Hall were issued judicial referrals for cannabis.
On Jan. 19 at 2:15 a.m. a student reported his shower caddy and its contents, valued at $50, were stolen from an Olson Hall bathroom.
On Jan. 20 at 12:50 a.m. a University employee reported a damaged door in the basement of Grote Hall. No damage estimate was available.
On Jan. 20 at 4:49 p.m. student Matthew Cutro, 18, of Des Plaines, was issued a notice to appear Feb. 26 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Jan. 20 at 6:48 p.m. student Marcus Wages, 21, of Chicago, was arrested in the University Union for attempted theft of less than $500 and possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana, as well as on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 7:54 p.m. pending bond.
On Jan. 21 at 5:04 a.m. a student reported that she was grabbed by an unknown male at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 21 in a Tanner Hall stairwell. The incident is under investigation.
On Jan. 21 at 11:21 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the first floor of Morgan Hall. There was no fire and no injuries were reported.
On Jan. 21 at 2:58 p.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the third floor of Tanner Hall. There was no fire and no injuries were reported.
