Office of Public Safety Report - 2013-01-23 to 2013-01-25

On Jan. 23 at 6:15 p.m. Vivian C. Ford, 19, of 400 Higgins, was arrested in Tanner Hall for battery. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 7:41 p.m. pending bond.

On Jan. 24 at 5:54 p.m. OPS officers responded to a fire alarm in Browne Hall. No smoke and no fire was found and no injuries were reported. The fire alarm was activated when building service workers enabled overhead smoke detectors, which were disabled earlier due to a smoke machine being used in the area. The Macomb Fire Department was not dispatched.

On Jan. 25 at 2:28 a.m. former student Emmanuel Okereke, 29, of 203 N. Charleston Blvd, Apt. 4, was arrested outside of a house located at 730 W. Calhoun St. for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 5:03 a.m. pending bond.
