Office of Public Safety Report - 2013-02-08 to 2013-02-11

On Feb. 8 at 1:23 a.m. someone entered an unlocked East Village apartment and stole a video game console. The theft is under investigation.

On Feb. 8 at 11:18 a.m. nonstudent Justin Fabre, 19, of Maywood, was arrested in the University Union for disorderly conduct. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 12:04 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 8 at 5:38 p.m. Michael Mosquera, 18, of 801 Tanner Hall, was arrested on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear and contempt of court. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 6:14 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 8 at 10:22 p.m. Michael Hoffman, 23, of 632 W. Murray St., was issued a notice to appear March 19 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public in the 600 block of West Murray Street.

On Feb. 9 at 1:38 a.m. Jasmine Meekins, 19, of 500 Higgins Hall, was arrested on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 2:49 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond. Nonstudent Devante White, 20, of Chicago, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 2:49 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 9 at 2:02 a.m. an OPS officer discovered that the pull station glass one a fire alarm on the third floor of Tanner Hall had been shattered. Damage was estimated at $40.

On Feb. 9 at 2:34 a.m. nonstudent Nicholas Krolikowski, 19, of Bartlett and William Spoerl, 19, of 834 Higgins, were issued a notice to appear March 19 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Higgins. Tyler Steichen, 19, of 1505 Higgins Hall, was issued a notice to appear March 19 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Nonstudent Nicholas Mokodanski, 18, of Bartlett, was issued a notice to appear March 19 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and obstructing justice. Nonstudent Sean Kenna, 21, of Bartlett, was issued a notice to appear March 19 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for obstructing justice and delivery of alcohol to a minor.

On Feb. 9 at 4:37 p.m. Arturo Vera, 20, of 700 Linden Lane, Apt. 509, received a traffic citation in the 1100 block of West Adams Street for disobeying a stop sign.

On Feb. 9 at 8:27 p.m. a student near Calhoun and Ward streets was judicially referred for open alcohol in public.

On Feb. 9 at 9:39 p.m. a student reported that the rear window of his vehicle had been shattered while parked in the Currens Hall lot.



On Feb. 10 at 2:28 a.m. nonstudent Alexander Callaghan, 18, of Downers Grove, was arrested near Bayliss Hall for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and misrepresentation of age. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:15 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 10 at 8:22 p.m. Tevin Holder, 20, of 430 Olson Hall, was arrested near Western Avenue for no valid driver's license. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 9:23 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 10 at 9:04 p.m. two students near Stadium Drive were judicially referred for possession of cannabis.

On Feb. 11 at 12:09 a.m. a Malpass Library employee reported that someone had vandalized (graffiti) a second floor men's restroom stall. Damage was estimated at $50.
