On Feb, 20 at 1:50 p.m. Robert Austin, 21, of Chicago, was arrested for criminal trespass to property for violating a previous order trespassing him from the WIU campus. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 4:19 p.m. pending bond.
On Feb. 20 at 5:15 p.m. two students in Tanner Hall were issued judicial referrals for behavior for harassing another student.
On Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. reported his cell phone, valued at $400, was stolen from the Rec Center on Feb. 19. The incident remains under investigation.
On Feb. 20 at 6:50 p.m. Emily A. Lotter, 18, of 530 Higgins Hall, was arrested for reckless conduct for allegedly setting a poster on fire in Higgins Hall. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 6:56 p.m. pending bond.
On Feb. 21 at 1:02 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the 14th floor of Tanner Hall. A grease cooking fire had been extinguished prior to their arrival. No damage estimate was available and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 21 at 1:05 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the 11th floor of Higgins Hall. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 21 at 1:15 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to an activated smoke detector on the 19th floor of Higgins Hall. It was determined the activation was caused by a water leak near the smoke detector, which created steam. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 21 at 3:05 p.m. a student reported the theft of his boots, valued at $225. The incident is under investigation.
On Feb. 22 at 12:47 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the fourth floor of Higgins Hall. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On Feb. 22 at 2:37 a.m. Adedoyin Oshikanlu, 19, of 1014 Bayliss Hall, was issued a notice to appear in court March 26 for a Macomb City ordinance violation of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor Bayliss Hall.
