Office of Public Safety Report - 2013-03-06 to 2013-03-08
On March 6 at 10:40 a.m. an employee reported criminal damage, estimated at $200, to a sixth floor men's bathroom stall in Tanner Hall. The incident is under investigation.
On March 7 at 12:57 a.m. an employee reported criminal damage to a residence hall room's door lock on the 15th floor of Tanner Hall. No damage estimate was available. The incident is under investigation.
On March 7 at 1:34 a.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the seventh floor of Tanner Hall. No smoke or fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On March 7 at 5:34 p.m. Alvin L. Montgomery, 25, of 434 W. Pierce, was arrested outside of Bayliss/Henninger halls for an outstanding DeKalb County warrant. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 5:51 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On March 8 at 12:21 a.m. Cordero G. Stephens, 25, of 507 W. Pierce, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended near the intersection of Western Avenue and University Drive. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:26 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond. Davron W. Boyd, 21, of 320 Olson Hall, received a ticket for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.
On March 8 at 1:22 a.m. Jordan T. Sacks, 20, of 622 Higgins Hall, was issued a notice to appear April 23 on a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis and resisting/obstructing a police officer outside of Higgins Hall. One student was judicially referred for cannabis.
On March 8 at 3:26 a.m. a non-student juvenile was arrested in Tanner Hall for consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of tobacco by a minor.
