Office of Public Safety Report - 2013-03-25 to 2013-03-27
On March 25 at 10:10 a.m. student reported a hit-and-run accident in the commuter lot across from the Malpass Library. Estimated damage to the vehicle was unavailable.
On March 25 at 10:54 a.m. Tya L. Beler, 21, of 333 1/2 N. Lafayette St., was arrested for driving on a suspended license. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 11:03 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond. She also received two traffic tickets for driving on a suspended license and for failure to report an accident.
On March 25 at 11:28 a.m. Briana L. Lane, 23, of 201 Wigwam Hollow Rd., apt. 909, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. She also received a traffic ticket for driving on a suspended license. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 11:38 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
On March 25 at 1:09 p.m. an employee reported a hit-and-run accident in Sherman Circle. Estimated damage to the vehicle was under $1,500.
On March 25 at 1:33 p.m. Hollie A. Butcher, 23, 1310 W. University Dr., received a traffic ticket for failure to report an accident.
On March 25 at 3 p.m. a student reported that $100 cash was stolen from his wallet. The incident is under investigation.
On March 26 at 11:30 a.m. a student in Higgins Hall reported her iPod, valued $250, was stolen from her unlocked room. The incident is under investigation.
On March 26 at 3:26 p.m. Antonio R. Marshall, 22, of 821 Corbin Hall, was arrested in Corbin on an active McDonough County warrant. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:44 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On March 26 at 5:59 p.m. an employee reported criminal defacement to government property in the men's restroom on the 11th floor of Tanner Hall. The incident is under investigation.
