Office of Public Safety Report - 2013-03-27 to 2013-03-29
On March 27 at 3:17 p.m. OPS officers and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Knoblauch Hall. No smoke or fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On March 27 at 8:50 p.m. an employee reported a hit and run accident on Thompson Drive, near Q-Lot west, while driving a University vehicle. Estimated damage to the vehicle was less than $500.
On March 28 at 1:10 a.m. Nathan D. Suchan, 21, of Lombard (IL), was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of Murray and Charles streets. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 2:50 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On March 28 at 7:23 a.m. an employee reported that a basement floor window in Bayliss Hall had been broken. Cost to repair was $224.33.
On March 28 at 9 a.m. a student reported the unauthorized/fraudulent use of her identity to open credit card accounts. The incident is under investigation.
On March 28 at 5:35 p.m. Lauren E. Wallentin, 25, of 930 N. Albert St., apt. 1, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 6:13 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
On March 28 at 8:32 p.m. Martha H. Abraha, 19, of 841 Tanner Hall, was arrested for battery in Higgins Hall. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 9:28 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
