The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.

According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.

On March 22 at 9:10 p.m. two students in Bayliss Hall were judicially referred for cannabis possession.
On March 23 at 1:55 p.m. non-student Taylor Blythe, 23, of Dallas City, IL, was arrested in the 500 block of West Pierce Street for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 2:15 a.m. pending bond.
On March 23 at 5:11 p.m. Jorge Mendoza, 20, of 813 Corbin Hall, was arrested in the Lincoln/Washington basement on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear/non-payment of fines. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 6:03 p.m. pending bond.
On March 23 at 6:03 p.m. non-student Valentin Esparza, 22, of Prospect Heights, IL, was issued a notice to appear in court April 30 for a Macomb city ordinance violation of open alcohol in public in the 400 block of North Albert Street.
On March 23 at 6:04 p.m. a student in the 400 block of West Pierce Street was judicially referred for alcohol possession.

On March 23 at 9:15 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to the sign in front of the University Union for a report of cigarette butts on fire at the base of the sign post. The fire was put out with an extinguisher and no damage estimate was available.
