The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.

According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.

On Oct. 24, at 3:14 a.m., a student in Washington Hall was judicially referred for behavior.

On Oct. 24, at 6:16 p.m., Jack Hogeboom, 22, of 327 N. Clay St., was arrested in Henninger Hall for criminal trespass to state-supported property and criminal damage to government property. On Oct. 24, at 6:20 a.m., Cade Eddington, 21, of 932 N. Charles St., was arrested in Henninger Hall for criminal trespass to state-supported property. Both were transported to the McDonough County Jail at 6:26 a.m. and held pending bond.

On Monday, Oct. 25, a student reported to a resident assistant (campus security authority/CSA) she was sexually assaulted by a male known to her. The assault occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 24 in a residence hall. The CSA report was received by the Office of Public Safety on Oct. 25.
