Nate Wiley serves as the Librarian for the Department of Bands, where he manages and organizes music for all ensembles and supports the daily operations of the band program. In addition to his work in the music library, he plays bassoon in both the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, contributing to the musical life of the department on stage as well as behind the scenes.

Wiley earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Western Illinois University, graduating in the spring of 2025. During his time at WIU, he gained extensive experience as both a performer and ensemble member, including a performance with the Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall in May 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Performance at Western Illinois University and remains committed to excellence in both performance and service to the Department of Bands.
