如果品学兼优，达到一定标准，在读期间可以有很多获得本系奖学金的机会。另外，艺术与传播学院和学校还有很多奖学金可以申请。学生甚至还可以申请许多校外机构提供的奖学金。奖励金额一般从几百美元到上千美元不等。下为部分奖学金一览表：

  • 年度广播电视宴会奖（Broadcasting Banquet Scholarship）
  • 广播电视学教授与校友奖（The Broadcasting Faculty and Alumni Scholarship）
  • 伊利诺伊州广播电视协会奖学金（Illinois Broadcaster's Association Scholarship）
  • 斯蒂芬妮·威尔逊纪念奖学金（Stephanie Wilson Memorial Scholarship）
  • 达默里斯·巴格韦尔新闻奖学金（Dameris Bagwell Journalism Scholarship）
  • 比尔·布拉德肖纪念奖（Bill Bradshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund）

  • 默罕默德公共关系学奖学金（Mohammad Siddiqi Public Relations Scholarship）

减免学费（Tuition Waiver）。如果你选的专业是新闻学或者广播电视学，而且同意在校电台电视台校报兼职，可以申请减免学费。如果你被选为系里的同龄导师（Peer Mentor）或者学生大使（Student Ambassador），也可以申请减免学费。这些实际上是另外一种形式的奖学金。
