University Honors Council

 Meetings: 3-4 per semester with additional meeting times for members serving on subcommittees

 Time: 3:30 p.m. third Wednesday of the month

 Place: Honors College Office - Library

 Duties: This Council is charged with two primary responsibilities: to advise the Director of the Honors College and to review and approve general honors courses, seminars, departmental honors requirements, honors program initiatives, honors scholarships and awards, honors research grants, and Honors College policies and procedures. Council members are expected to serve on one or more subcommittees of the Council, including but not limited to, the Honors Scholarship Committee, the Writing Prize Committee, the College Scholar Committee, and the Convocation Speaker Committee.
