MINORS AVAILABLE IN THE DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY

The Geography Minor (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts). To minor in geography, a student must complete 19 semester hours of geography courses. Specific requirements include any three courses selected from GEOG 100, 110, 120, and 121 with the remaining hours selected from upper division electives to be approved by the minor advisor.

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Minor (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts). To minor in GIS, a student must complete 18 semester hours of geography courses. Specific requirements include GEOG 208, 308, 408, and 409 plus two classes from GEOG 301, 401 or 403.

The Meteorology Minor (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts). To minor in geography, a student must complete 18-19 semester hours of geography courses. Specific requirements include GEOG 120, 322, 329, 422, 429 and one course from GEOG 300, 327, 425 or 432.
