Chad Sperry, Faculty Associate in Department of Geography and Manager of the McDonough County GIS Center, has received funding in the amount of $27,368 from Warren County 911 for the project Warren County GIS Street Centerline and Address Point Mapping. The project will be done in two phases. In Phase 1, the Center will create an accurate street centerline GIS layer for Warren County GIS applications.  This layer's primary use will be for 911 dispatch and address mapping, but will be created in a format and structure that is useable by the majority of GIS users.  In Phase 2, the Center will create a point shapefile (file consisting of GIS coordinates for each structure) for each 911 addressed structure in Warren County.  The resulting database will consist solely of the 911 addresses - no personally identifiable information will be included.
