September, 2006 Our 2006 fall fieldtrip included a tour of an underground gypsum mine in Sperry, Iowa, a stop to see exposures at the Devonian Fossil Gorge in Coralville, Iowa, and visits to three quarries and a clay pit in the Quad Cities area as part of the Tri-State Geological Field Conference. October, 2004 For our 2004 fall fieldtrip Drs. Melim and Bennett brought students to two locations of geologic interest (Blackhawk Park, Starved Rock) before joining the Tri-State Geological Field Conference in the Lake Winnebago area of Wisconsin.
