Western Hornists have been very active this past year. Among the many recitals, concerts, and special events two of the following should be noted:

Recent Events

• The Western Illinois Horn Festival 2008
• The performance by Western Hornists John Reem, Robert Palmer, Amber Dean, and Colin Brien of Robert Schumann's Konzertstück für vier hörner und orchester, Op. 86, on the WIU Symphony Orchestra Concert on April 18th. This was the second concerto performance of the semester for WESTERN HORNIST John Reem—who also performed the Concertino by Lars-Erik Larsson with the orchestra on February 29, 2008.
