Admission Procedures
Once an application and all transcripts have been received in the School of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Studies personnel will review the application and determine full admission, probationary admission, or no admission to Graduate Studies at WIU. If recommended for full or probationary admission, the application and other documents will be forwarded to the Department of Instructional Design and Technology for consideration.
If this application packet is missing the essay, the student is notified about the missing information by the IDT department. Admission to the program is based upon applicant's undergraduate grade point average (GPA - 2.75 and over), and the applicant's writing skills.
Re-entering Students
Students in good standing who have discontinued graduate work for more than one full year must file a Graduate Application form Readmission with the Graduate Studies office.
