WIU Cyber Competition
This competition offers an enjoyable opportunity for high school, community college, and university students to demonstrate the cybersecurity knowledge they have acquired in school through a Jeopardy-style format. The competition questions span various topics, including Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Cyber Threats and Attacks, Famous Hacks and Breaches, Cybersecurity Careers and Certifications, Linux Operating System, Cryptography, Steganography, and Computer Forensics. The competition will run for approximately 1 hour, followed by a 30-minute award ceremony.

- Competition Date and Time: Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM CST
- Registration Deadline: Tuesday, April 23, 2024
- Location: Western Illinois University Main Campus (Macomb, IL) University Union, Heritage Room
- Competition Format: Jeopardy Style
- Students must be enrolled in high school, community college, or university.
- Each team member must individually register.
- Teams must consist of at least 2 members.
Note: If you want to participate in the event but do not have a team member yet, register yourself, and we will do our best to find you a teammate. We will pair you with other teams after registration ends for this event.
- Teams can have up to 4 members.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the competition begins.
- Cell phones and electronic devices are not permitted during the competition. While emergency calls may be received, electronic devices cannot be used to answer competition questions.
- Transportation to the competition venue will not be provided.
- Showcase your expertise in cybersecurity.
- All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
- The top three teams will receive prizes.
