MACOMB, IL – Illiana High school senior Kevin Terpstra has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

At WIU, Terpstra plans to major in engineering technology.

Terpstra said he chose Western because of the Centennial Honors Scholarship, as well as the availability of programs he was interested in.

"Western has a ton of great programs and is very affordable, especially with the great scholarship opportunities," he said.

In high school, Terpstra was involved in the Christian Service Club, men's volleyball, the weightlifting club, tutoring and the Illiana Basketball Loud Crowd.
