MACOMB, IL - - Aah, the power of nothing. And who could forget the delightful sounds of thunder bubbles and the boomwhacker chorus?

Stop by Currens Hall 205 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11 to see "nothing," and a whole lot more, showcased by Western Illinois University physics department faculty and students at the annual "More of Our Favorite Things" demonstration.

Guaranteed to amuse, amaze and enlighten, audience members will witness a dollar bill that will not burn; watch as ice makes water boil; experience magnetic jumping rings; and puzzle at the upside-down cup that holds water.

The evening's educational entertainment is open free to the public. For more information, contact the WIU physics department at 309-298-1596.
