Services Set for Sundberg

MACOMB, IL – Former Western Illinois University political science Professor Jim Sundberg, 75, passed away in Macomb Saturday, Oct. 26. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Mechanicsburg, IL.

Sundberg spent 30 years at Western Illinois University, where his study focused on political science. He spent one year in Beirut, Lebanon as a Fulbright Scholar, served on several departmental and University committees and enjoyed being a part of the educational television series, "Eyes on the Prize."

He had degrees from Arizona State University, American University and the University of California-Berkeley.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, Sundberg is survived by his sons and several grandchildren.
