WIU Students, Alumni and Faculty Present Summer Theatre in Indiana

BLOOMFIELD, IN - The Shawnee Summer Theatre of Greene County, IN, a not-for-profit summer stock theatre company, has become a bit of an eastern outpost for WIU students, alumni and faculty this summer. The theatre has been running continuously in Bloomfield, IN, since 1959.

The strong WIU connection begins with the theatre's administrative and artistic staff:

Producing director Trey D. Rock is a 2013 WIU alumnus with a bachelor's degree in theatre and a minor in law enforcement and justice administration (LEJA). He is currently pursuing a master of business administration (MBA) degree at WIU.

Artistic Director Joshua Carroll, of Washington, MO, is a current student pursuing a master of fine arts (MFA) degree in theatre. Associate artistic director/director of education Kody C. Jones is a 2013 WIU alumnus with a MFA in theatre.

Rock, Carroll and Jones have assembled an impressive company of performers, designers and technicians for the 2014 season. The following artists have connections to WIU:

• Carolyn Blackinton, WIU associate professor of theatre: actor

• Bethany Dukett, bachelor's degree in theatre, with a minor in Spanish (2013): general manager

• Erik Wagner, of Chicago, IL, current graduate student, MFA in theatre: director/actor

• Frank Delaney, of Anchorage, AK, current graduate student, MFA in theatre: fight director/actor

• Will Barnhart, former WIU student in music and general studies: accompanist/musical director/costume designer

• Nate Curlott, of Long Grove, IA, current student theatre, with a minor in communication: actor
• James Bleecker, of Macomb, current student musical theatre: actor

• Erin Norlie, 2012 alumnus in musical theatre: choreographer/actor

• Astoncia Bhagat, of Woodstock, IL, current student in musical theatre: marketing intern/actor

• Jimmy Capek, of Kingston, IL, current student in musical theatre: actor

• Megan Clark, of Bartlett, IL, current student in musical theatre: actor

• Michelle Floersch-Clow, of Macomb, current graduate student, MFA in theatre: costume designer

• Kara Dewall, 2013 alumnus in musical theatre: properties designer

• Theodore Mueller, of Oconomowoc, WI, current student in musical theatre: carpenter/actor
