WIU Veterans Day Tribute Ceremony

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University will host a Veterans Day tribute ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Sherman Hall flagpole.

WIU President Jack Thomas, WIU's Army ROTC Color Guard, Veterans Club President Lukas Smith, Board of Trustees Student Trustee Michael Quigley, music education major Alison Huntley, Vice President for Student Services Gary Biller and School of Music Professor Bruce Briney will recognize veterans and service men and women. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Sherman Hall Auditorium, third floor.

A variety of events and programs will be held through Nov. 13 as part of Military Appreciation Week. More information can be found at wiu.edu/news/newsrelease.php?release_id=12050.
