Harris Retirement Reception

MACOMB, IL -- A retirement reception for Mary Margaret Harris, director of Beu Health Center at Western Illinois University, will be held from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 in the Knoblauch Hall Dining Room (Rm. 239). A brief presentation will be held at 4:35 p.m. Harris will retire Dec. 31.

She has served as director of Beu since July 2006. Previously, Harris was the public health administrator for the McDonough County Health Department, and as the county's director of environmental health and as a county sanitarian. Harris has also served as an adjunct faculy member in the department of health sciences at Western and as a biology instructor at both WIU and Spoon River College in Macomb.

Harris received her master's degree in microbiology and her bachelor's degree in microbiology from Western.
