Allen Services Set

MACOMB – Services for retired Western Illinois University carpenter Robert Wear Allen, 87, of Macomb, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home. Allen passed away at Jan. 12 in Macomb.
He worked as a carpenter at Western Illinois University from 1977 to 1998. He built many houses in Macomb from 1953 until 1974 with his father, Ronald Allen, including the Western Illinois University President's home and the gazebo in Chandler Park.
He is survived by his wife, Anne, and five children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
