MACOMB, IL – Seneca (IL) High School senior Abigail Seul has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which awards $10,000 per year to academically high-achieving students.

High school students with an ACT score of 30 or higher and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Seul said she chose Western because "of its great programs, location close to home, low student-to-faculty ratio and great atmosphere."

"Western is an outstanding university located in the heartland of the U.S. that provides a great education at an affordable price," Seul said.

Seul plans to major in international relations/comparative politics at Western.

In high school, Seul participated in National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Teens Resisting Unhealthy Social Temptations (TRUST), soccer and basketball.
