Extended Office Hours Jan. 14-16: Spring Semester at Begins Jan. 17

MACOMB, IL -- Beginning Saturday, Jan. 14, several service areas at Western Illinois University will have extended hours in preparation for the Spring 2017 semester, which begins with 8 a.m. classes Tuesday, Jan. 17. The University will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, the University Bookstore hours are noon-5 p.m.; the Spencer Student Recreation Center (SRC) is open from 8 a.m.-noon, and aquatics from 9-11 a.m. Go West will run its break routes on Saturday (visit gowest.wiu.edu for complete schedules). The University Union is open 7 a.m.-12:30 a.m. for the building; 8 a.m.-8 p.m. for the Union Service Center; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for Burger King.

Residence halls re-open at noon Sunday, Jan. 15. The University Bookstore hours are noon-5 p.m. and the Union Service Center hours are 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. The University Union is open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (building). Burger King will be closed. University Housing and Dining Services offices, located in Seal Hall (first floor front office), is open from noon-4 p.m. and Student Development office, located in the University Union, is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; the SRC is open noon-11 p.m. and aquatics from 1-3 p.m. (family swim) and 3-7 p.m. Go West buses will run all regular Sunday routes and schedules.

On Monday, Jan. 16, the University Bookstore is open noon-5 p.m. and Burger King is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (Union building, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.). University Housing and Dining Services and Student Development are open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; the SRC is open 10 a.m.-11 p.m., with aquatics open 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-9 p.m. Go West buses will the Sunday regular routes and schedules.

Other Student Services offices that will be open during the move-in weekend include:

Admissions: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16.
Financial Aid: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.
Veterans Resource Center: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15
