MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University Student Government Association (SGA) President Dovile Svirupskaite will present a State of the Student Address at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 in the Sherman Hall Auditorium (third floor).

Other speakers include SGA Speaker of the Senate Andrew Mueller and WIU Student Trustee Wil Gradle. According to Svirupskaite, the State of the Student is designed for students and other members of the campus community to learn more about SGA and its responsibilities and the varied issues affecting the student body and campus in general. Faculty and staff are also encouraged to attend.

"I will also be highlighting some of the successes and challenges that the student body and University have faced in the last year," she added. "This event is an excellent opportunity for students to meet with University administration and student leaders and to learn more about the University and our goals."
