Moline Chess Open to be Held at WIU-Quad Cities

MOLINE, IL – The Quad-Cities-based Illowa Chess Club, in partnership with the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Chess Club, invites all chess players to participate in the Moline Chess Open, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 on the WIU-QC campus, 3300 River Drive, Moline, in Riverfront Hall 103/104.

The event's first round will begin at 8:30 a.m. Play will continue until all rounds are played and champions crowned.

Open and Unrated categories are available for interested players. Cost to attend as an open participant is $30 and as an Unrated participant $10.

Prizes will be awarded for both unrated and open categories. First-place prize for the open tournament is $250 and first place prize for the unrated category is a chess clock and chess set.
