WIU Student Winner in National Sodexo Sweepstakes

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University sophomore pre-elementary education major Asiah Thurman, of Broadview, IL, was recently named one of 25 national winners in Sodexo's EAT TO THE BEAT "Can't Beat that National Prize Sweepstakes."

Thurman received one of 10 grand prize packages, which included Beats Studio Wireless Headphones and a JBL Pulse wireless speaker. EAT TO THE BEAT is part of an ongoing resident dining promotion series, sponsored by Sodexo, WIU's dining services company. Sodexo delivers on-site services in corporate, education, health care, government and remote site segments, as well as benefits and rewards services and personal and home services.

EAT TO THE BEAT was featured at more than 600 college and university campuses managed by Sodexo nationwide. The promotion featured maximum flavor in dining halls, which paying homage to iconic music and song lyrics. During the promotion, students saw how song lyrics and musical genres inspired food menus and fun activities to give students an opportunity to de-stress.

Sodexo is headquartered in Gaithersburg , MD, and funds all administrative costs for the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, a charitable organization that has made more than $22 million in grants to end childhood hunger in America.
