Visiting Artist to Host Ceramics Workshop Feb. 7-8

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Ceramics and Clay clubs and the WIU Department of Art will host a ceramics workshop Wednesday-Thursday, Feb. 7-8 in the Heating Plant Annex (HPA).

Anthony Pearson will demonstrate the workshop. Pearson is an artist and educator currently living in Columbia, MO, where he is a Master of Fine Arts candidate at the University of Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics from Southern Utah University.

Pearson will demonstrate from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in HPA 111. He will take an hour lunch break at 1 p.m. He will give a lecture about his work at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 in HPA 111.

All events are open free to the public.
