WIU FYE Program Honors Those Who Help Students

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University First Year Experience (FYE) program held its annual recognition ceremony April 16 to honor WIU employees who help students make the transition to college life.

FYE is a university wide program that helps all incoming first year students make a successful transition to college from their previous educational or life experience. ​

This year's honorees are:

• FYE Y Faculty Member of the Year: Professor Erin Taylor (Political Science)

• FYE UNIV 100 Instructors of the Year: Ketra Russell (UHDS) and Stacey Macchi (Communication)

• FYE Academic Advisor of the Year: Tim Johnson

• FYE Resident Assistant of the Year: Chelsea Deyo, a senior health services management major from Keokuk, IA

• FYE Peer Mentor of the Year: Rachel Beatty, a senior special education major from Muscatine, IA

• FYE Better Together Award Winner: Paige Noecker, a senior forensic chemistry major from Mahomet, IL
