MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance will present "Hand to God" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27-Saturday, March 2, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3 in the Horrabin Hall Theatre.

The production, directed by WIU Professor Bill Kincaid, was written by Robert Askins. The play is rated "R."

The play is about a man who finds an outlet in a Christian Puppet Ministry in Cypress, TX, after his father's death. His complicated relationships with the town pastor, the school bully, the girl next door, and - most especially - his mother are thrown into upheaval when his puppet, "Tyrone," takes on a shocking and dangerously irreverent personality.

Tickets are $15 for the public, $13 for senior citizens and youth and free for WIU students with valid identification.
