MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance will present the musical "Pippin" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, April 3-6 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7 in Hainline Theatre.

The production is directed by Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance Lysa Fox, with musical direction by Professor of Music Matt Bean.

The musical is about young prince Pippin, heir to the Frankish throne, who is in search of the secret of true happiness and fulfillment.

"It's a beautiful show that I believe resonates with us all as humans - What is my journey? What's it supposed to be? What parts of my life are for me and what parts are for other people? A big question in the show is finding "complete fulfillment," said Fox. "What does that mean? Is it even achievable? At the end of the day, it's your story to tell - only you can decide that. Some people might not like it - but it only matters if you do."
