Lowell G. Oxtoby Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Retired Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus Lowell G. Oxtoby passed away Monday, Sept. 2 in Nebraska.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Oxtoby began working at WIU in September 1970 as a German language professor and retired in March 2001 as a librarian at the University. He was the first advisor for the Delta Tau Delta fraternity at Western, continuing in that role for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dona; his children, Miriam and William; two grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Carey.
