Dorsett Named May Advisor of the Month

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University College of Education and Human Services Academic Advisor Stacy Dorsett has been named the Council of Academic Advisors (COAA) Advisor of the Month for May.

Dorsett was nominated by a student who credited her with always being eager to help those she advises.

"She never made me felt as if she was doing me a favor," said her nominator. "Even through a Zoom call, her radiant positivity and eagerness to help showed through. She always answered my questions and elaborated even more than I thought I needed to make sure I completely understood."

The nominator added that Dorsett's guidance provided them with a "sense of relief and comfort."

"She definitely contributes to the positive image of WIU by making an impact directly on students who are in need of guidance, or even those who are more knowledgeable, as she's still always willing to help," they said.
