WIU-QC to Host Women's History Month Essay Contest

MOLINE, IL - - To celebrate Women's History Month, Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Student Services will host an essay contest for any WIU-QC student to participate in.

"The essay contest is a way to celebrate the impact that women have had in society while promoting the goals of education, empowerment, equality, and inclusion," WIU-QC Student Services Director Curtis Williams said.

The theme for this year's contest is "Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories." The minimum word requirement is 300 and the maximum is 1,000. The deadline to submit an essay is 4 p.m. Friday, March 22. To submit an essay, visit go.wiu.edu/3P1n8h2.

One winner will be selected on Wednesday, March 27.
