WIU AFED to Host Accounting Career Explorations Event March 19

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Decision Sciences (AFED) will host Accounting Career Explorations, an event targeted for current and prospective students from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 on the Quad Cities campus.

This event is open to any current WIU student, local community college student or high school student interested in a major or career in accounting, finance or business.

The event schedule includes:

8:30-9:15 a.m.: WIU table fair and continental breakfast available to all attendees
9:30-10:45 a.m.: Learning and language of business information session
11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Careers in public accounting information session
12:30-1:45 p.m.: Free networking lunch for community college and high school students
2-3:15 p.m.: Corporate and managerial accounting information session
3:30-4:30 p.m.: Meet an accountant and WIU table fair
