Rocky on Parade: The Final Round!

MACOMB, IL - - Ruff-ly every other year, Western Illinois University celebrates Rocky on Parade, a beloved community initiative that celebrates the mascot and spirit of WIU and the city of Macomb.

Rocky on Parade has been a part of WIU's history since 2013 and brings joy and artistic expression to the town of Macomb. This year, WIU will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the University, so this year's Rocky Dog will be one for the books.

Sponsorship opportunities include:
Big Dog Sponsorship ($2,200):
Includes a generous donation of $1,000 to the WIU Art & Design scholarship.
Alpha Dog Sponsorship ($4,000):
Includes an even more substantial donation of $1,800 to the WIU Art & Design scholarship.

The deadline for sponsorship is Thursday, March 28. Additionally, community members are encouraged to save the date for Tuesday, April 23 for the Rocky Artist Draft, where sponsors meet artists and select their Rocky Dog design.

This year's Rocky on Parade will be Rocky's last ride. Everyone is encouraged to be a part of the Rocky legacy.

Kids' Coloring Contest

In addition to sponsorship opportunities, the community is invited to participate in the kids' Rocky Dog coloring contest again this year. Macomb area school children ages K-6, will submit drawings and artwork of Rocky and the public will vote on the design that will be recreated on a full-size Rocky from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 13 at the Macomb Arts Center.
