WIU Music Faculty to Present April 1

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty Recital featuring violist István Szabó and pianist Yeon-Kyung Kim at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 1 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The program will include:

Toccata on a theme by Girolamo Frescobaldi - Gaspar Cassado (1897-1966)

Ponteando from Meloritmias No. 5 for Solo Viola - Ernani Aguiar (1950b)

Sonata for Viola and Piano in D Minor - Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka (1804 -1857)
I. Allegro moderato
II. Larghetto ma non troppo

INTERMISSION

Romanze for Viola and Piano, Op. 85 - Max Bruch (1838-1920)

Milonga en Re - Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992)
Libertango (arr. Diego Marani)
Oblivion (arr. Ignacy Gaydamovich)

This performance is open free for general audience seating.
