WIU Students Encouraged to Donate Unwanted Items in Goodwill Drive

MACOMB, IL – To help reduce the number of items on curbs during closing week, Western Illinois University Housing students will have the option to donate their unwanted items to Goodwill of Macomb. Students may either drop off at Goodwill in Macomb or at the designated areas in the Residence Halls.

Goodwill of Macomb is located at 1522 E. Carroll St., Macomb, 61455. The hours of operation are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

In Thompson Hall and Corbin-Olson Halls, students may drop off at the designated area in the lobby and in Lincoln-Washington-Grote Halls, students may drop off at the designated area near the C-Store.

Goodwill will pick up at the Residence Hall locations on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Students can donate new and good condition furniture, good condition household items; microwaves, small appliances, kitchen and bathroom items (towels), good and clean clothing and accessories and blankets and comforters.
