WIU to Host Calendar Signing Event Dec. 10

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Bookstore will host a Col. Rock IV Calendar signing for the 2025 edition from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the University Union Bookstore.

Students, faculty and staff can stop by the bookstore before leaving for winter break in support of WIU's live mascot, Col. Rock IV, "Ray." Calendars will be available for $5.50 during the event. Individuals who purchase a calendar during the event will get a special Col. Rock IV "pawing."

The 2025 edition was designed and produced by WIU Assistant Director of Creative Services and Branding Justin Derry in collaboration with University Marketing, WIU Photography and Design Production and Col. Rock IV handler Joe Roselieb.

"We are excited to unveil the calendar each year as it allows us to not only highlight our beloved mascot, but showcase a variety of different locations, events, and activities that happen both on campus and in our communities," Roselieb said. "This initiative serves as the Live Mascot Program's annual fundraiser that provides us with funding to assist with the many events, programs and activities we participate in throughout the year."
