WIU Trombone Day Guest Recital Coming Jan. 25

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the WIU Trombone Day 2025 Guest Recital, featuring bass trombonist Ilan Morgenstern, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
Ilan Morgenstern is currently the bass trombonist of the Vancouver Symphony.
This performance is open free to the public.
The program will include:
Improvisation No. 1 - Enrique Crespo (1941-2020)
Shadow Play - Greg Youtz (b. 1956)
Facas - Jocelyn Morlock (1969-2023)
Sizzl' - Robert Denham (b. 1973)
~INTERMISSION~
Little Picture - Sterling Maffe (b. 1996)
Stars Drifting By - Allen Vizzutti (b. 1952)
Carne Ahamuda - James Hopson
