WIU School of Music to Host 53rd Annual Jazz Festival

MACOMB, IL---Western Illinois University School of Music will present the 53rd Annual Jazz Festival Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Friday's main event will take place at a 7:30 p.m. concert by the WIU Jazz Band and Jazz Studio Orchestra (JSO), featuring Glenn Wilson, an acclaimed baritone saxophonist, composer and educator.

Student ensembles will participate in workshops with WIU jazz faculty and guest artists. In addition, clinics will be offered for all instruments and a jam session hosted by the Hopper Jazztet, WIU's acclaimed faculty ensemble.

Friday evening's concert is open free to the public and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube Channel.
