WIU 2009 Summer Graduates

MACOMB, IL - - Nearly 500 students earned academic degrees after the 2009 Summer semester at Western Illinois University's Macomb and Quad Cities campuses and through extended studies. Of those, more than 60 graduates were students whose primary attendance site was at the WIU-QC campus.

Bachelor's degrees were awarded to more than 350 students, which include 53 students awarded Western's Board of Trustees-Bachelor of Arts degree (BOT-BA), designed for adult students. Master's degrees were awarded to more than 125 students, 33 of those at WIU-Quad Cities.

Academic distinction was awarded to undergraduate students who achieved high grade point averages. This includes: Summa Cum Laude, 3.90 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale; Magna Cum Laude, 3.75 to 3.89 GPA; and Cum Laude, 3.6 to 3.74 GPA.
