MACOMB, IL - - Multiple readers have signed up to share the poems of Emily Dickinson in an open air reading from 1-4 p.m. Friday, April 16 on the east side of the Leslie F. Malpass Library, in the campus mall.

People attending are also welcome to choose one of Dickinson's 1,775 poems and to sign up at the event to read, said Assistant Professor of English Merrill Cole.

"Dickinson's poems are as much alive today as they were when she wrote them, some 150 years ago," Cole added. "Everyone is invited to this event, whether to read, or just to listen, in celebrating the most incredible woman poet in the English language."
