Macomb Campus Master Plan Forums

MACOMB, IL -- Three firms will be on the WIU-Macomb campus next week as part of the Quality Based Selection (QBS) process to select a firm to provide an update to the Macomb Campus Master Plan. The plan, which was first completed by Goody Clancy in 2007, is intended to be updated every five years.

Goody Clancy and Smith Group JJR will present Monday, Jan. 23, while Durant will present Tuesday, Jan. 24. Open forums will be held Jan. 23 from 9-10 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon with Goody Clancy, and from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. with Smith Group JJR, in the University Union Lincoln Room, and from 9-10 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon Jan. 24 with Durant in the University Union Capitol Room.

According to Scott Coker, interim director of the Physical Plant, the Macomb Campus Master Plan Update includes a reviewing the current plan; infusing President Jack Thomas' priorities into the master plan; and identifying landscape standards and planning for courtyards and quads, parking, parking traffic and pedestrian access and circulation and enhancing campus entrances.
