New Student and Family Programs
New Student and Family Programs (NSFP) provides various services and areas of support that assist students toward a successful transition into the Western Illinois University community. These services include Leatherneck Launch (New Student Orientation) during fall, spring and summer which is designed to introduce new students to Western. New Student and Family Programs also develops resources and support for Leatherneck family members and special student populations.

Mission:
The New Student and Family Programs office focuses on the experiences of new students (Freshman and Transfer) and other specialized populations (First Generation, Commuter) as they enter Western Illinois University. We strive to ensure a smooth transition by offering tailored support and resources for students and their parents/families. We provide guidance, information and programs to enhance new students’ understanding of campus life to aid in their success within the Leatherneck community.

To create a strong sense of belonging for new students and their families by providing comprehensive support and programs.
