Our Facilities

A Writing Center for all students boasts itself in Simpkins Hall 107. Other Writing Center Locations.

A student lounge is located in Simpkins Hall 025

A dedicated lactation room is located in Simpkins Hall 025B. For more information view the Compliance with Nursing Mothers in the Workplace Act. Request for Lactation Room Access form (pdf)

Simpkins Hall Theater is located on the second floor and hosts many plays and performances.

A filtered Hydration Station is located on Simpkins Hall ground floor! Other campus Hydration Stations.

Simpkins Hall Vending Machines include Hot Products (gourmet coffee, hot chocolate, tea, soup) on 1st floor, Pepsi Products (soda) & M&M Snack Machine (chips, candy, cookies, breakfast items) on 2nd floor, and Juice Products (water, vitamin water, juice, Gatorade, lemonade, tea, energy drink) on 3rd floor. Vending Service Info.

No Computing Resource Centers are located in Simpkins Hall. The closest ones are Corbin/Olson and Memorial. Find campus computer labs.

Lost and Found for our building is located in Simpkins Hall 129. If your item is not here check OPS (Office of Public Safety), the bus system Go West Transit, or other buildings' lost and found office.

Poster boards are located on each floor to advertise any events and information. Please get approval from Simpkins 124 before posting on our dedicated boards. See poster distribution list for each building. Follow protocol.

Find Us

WIU provides directions and maps which show the location of Macomb and describe the best ways to get here. Simpkins Hall is located in the southwest corner of campus, adjacent to Sherman Hall, and immediately north of Lake Ruth.

Pick up visitor parking permits and campus maps at Mowbray Hall, across from the University Union on Murray Street
