Simpkins Hall, the fourth building constructed at WIU, is home to the Department of English.  Most Department of English classes and offices are in Simpkins Hall. Read about the History of Simpkins Hall by Nicole Banks.

Simpkins Hall 107 boasts a Writing Center for all students. Other Writing Center Locations.

Simpkins Hall 025 is a student lounge. Simpkins Hall 025B is a dedicated lactation room. For more information view the Compliance with Nursing Mothers in the Workplace Act. Request for Lactation Room Access form (pdf)

A filtered Hydration Station is located on Simpkins Hall ground floor! Other campus Hydration Stations.

Simpkins Hall Vending Machines include Hot Products (Gourmet coffee, hot chocolate, tea, soup) on 1st floor, Pepsi Products (soda) & M&M Snack Machine (chips, candy, cookies, breakfast items) on 2nd floor, and Juice Products (water, vitamin water, juice, Gatorade, lemonade, tea, energy drink) on 3rd floor. Vending Service Info.

No Computing Resource Centers are located in Simpkins Hall. Find campus computer labs.

Find Us

WIU provides directions and maps which show the location of Macomb and describe the best ways to get here. Simpkins Hall is located in the southwest corner of campus, adjacent to Sherman Hall, and immediately north of Lake Ruth.
